You are Clara, a curious and adventurous teenager; but you are also Dendi; a

Dendritic cell that is part of the immune system.

One day, Clara finally went on the camping trip she always dreamed up with her 3 friends; but on her way to the bus station she cut herself.

What she did not know is that both viruses and bacteria rushed into her wound; and began multiplying at an alarming rate.

Now it is your task, little Dendritic cell; to identify the enemy; make your way to the spleen and activate the amazing powers of the adaptive immune system!

Info about the game:

Made by 8 people from 3 different continents; we had a blast making it! :)
(We asked the organizers about the team size and it was ok)

There are 3 upgrades:

°Shoot (use mouse to aim and left mouse button to shoot)

°Dash upgrade (dropped from the dashing enemy) makes you dash further and allows you to dash through multiple enemies

°Squeeze upgrade - with this you can fit through tight gaps

There are 20 enemy parts to collect scattered throughout the level; you need to return more than 18 in order to complete the game.

------------------------------------------------------------

fixed 2 game breaking bugs after launch

- enemy parts could get stuck in wall in rare occasions

-Win video would not play in browser (WebGL)

The game is pretty cool! Love every aspect of it.

My only comment is that I feel like mouse control would be more comfortable- cell following cursor and dash with LMB

We actually tried this control scheme, at least partly. (moving was still WASD, but we tried mouse for dash) but most people on the team preferred it the way it is now. If we had more time, maybe we could have allowed for both! :)

Giving me Spore vibes, love the Music! Did you get the music from somewhere or is one of the members of your team the composer?

Frank did all the music, all the voice over and all the special effects (minutes 2 we threw in at the last hour of the Jam) A true legend! (he was also part of 2 teams)

Wow! The music from my project was made by myself, so I appreciate the work spent on sound design. That is ultimately what I would like to do once I get a bit more experience. He did an awesome job!

Can't believe you guys managed to build such a fun and polished game in just 10 days. Congrats!

Thank you very much; we are glad that you liked it!

This is by far my favorite game in this entire game jam. I like the aesthetics, the narration gives it a unique touch, the music, graphics, controls and animations are simply beautiful. The only critique I would give it is that it would have played better if it had controller support IMO.

But I really like it; if this were a Steam release, I would definitely purchase it as the concept is so cool!

Thank you for the very positive comment :)

We might have to try and get controller input working then as an added feature; but would only post this after the voting period ends :)

Really cool vibe, love the art and animations. Also pretty fun!

Thank you for the positive feedback :)
